Effie's of Perth Reviews
What a treat! | MoiraB388
Checked with Trip Advisor before visiting Perth and headed for Effie's for lunch. What a lovely place and so friendly. From the moment we popped our heads in to see if there was a table we were warmly welcomed. The French onion soup was superb! ! So tasty and the onions just melted in the mouth. Treated to a piece of the carrot cake for afters along with a huge pot of tea...perfect day out topped by this lunch. Highly recommended. Thank you Effie's.

Should not be missed!! | anonam2014
Visited Effies in November for lunch with girlfriends and was so impressed I had to take my partner back for a visit- given we live in Shetland this was not a short journey. Had lunch with the gorgeous Cullen skink and then breakfast the next day before leaving Perth. The selection of beautiful home made food is just too great - mouthwatering stovies, mince n tatters, lasagne etc. The breakfasts was the best I have ever had - we both had Effies speciality ‘Dutch eggs’ I won’t spoil the surprise - just have them! The place itself is cute, full of personality and the people the friendliest you will ever meet.

Unique, warm and very friendly! | Gordon L
Whilst on a trip to Perth we visited Effie's for coffee and a light breakfast after it was recommended to us. The place was just opening, we were first to arrive and we received a very genuine warm welcome by the staff who provided just what we wanted on a cold morning. Lovely coffee and large bacon and egg rolls. The place was very interesting, warm atmosphere, and a very pleasant alternative to the usual coffee shop chain stores. We would certainly recommend Effie's and we'll be back. Gordon and Glynis

We use this place on a regular basis and never disappointed with the food and service. This is one of the best restaurants in Perth.
Sunday Carrot Cake | RuiM
We came here on a gloomy Sunday, but the day was brightened by fantastic service from Helen, and a mind-blowing carrot cake (worth visiting just to try this cake).
Perfect 'Olde Worlde' tea-room | Hazel M
Went for breakfast with my sister and we both loved it! Staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. I love the decor and ambience that is created by the use of all the beautiful ornate furniture, crockery, pictures etc. The attention to detail of how this place is set up and run leaves no doubt in my mind that this contributes to the success of Effies in a city over-run by coffee shops/restaurants.
And this is all without even mentioning the food! Excellent menu and breakfast is served until 12. I had the traditional breakfast and my sister had the eggs benedict, both were beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. Your tea also comes in an old fashioned proper tea pot, it always tastes better that way! We've been before on a number of occasions so can vouch for the normal daytime menu also! Well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed.
